I really enjoyed this book. At only 60 pages, it offers traders a wealth of information in a way that is easy to understand. As someone who is new to trading, it definitely helped give me a much better understanding of what I am getting myself into. Livington provides plenty of graphics to help you understand what he is explaining and provides links to excel sheets that really take this book to a new level for me. Even though I’m new and therefore probably likely to think any easy to understand concept is the bees knees, I shared the concept with my father who has been trading for decades now and he agreed that it provides for a neat, new strategy he will be trying out as well!
One of the first things I liked about this book, is the “notebook and flash cards†feature. This allows you to take notes while reading this book, which is extremely helpful. The author covers a variety of topics, from which stocks to buy, when to sell, and he even offers different scenarios. There are also diagrams included, along with links to online resources. This is a very helpful guide for anyone seeking to navigate the world of trading. I like the way each chapter is laid out, and the “key takeaway†included at the end of each chapter. The author did an excellent job of explaining trading and I would definitely recommend this book.
This was a great trading book! In 60 pages it gives you a sound, safe method of making money by trading stocks.The book tells you how to know when to get into a stock, and how to know when to get out of it.I had heard about the concept of trading in the box before from the Darvas book How I Made $2,000,000 in the Stock Market, but I had never heard of the concept of trading the box within the box. This is an interesting new trading concept that is worth reading and trying out. The box idea is that stocks trade in a range where the bottom of the box would be the support and the top would be the resistance. You want to get in the stock when it is bouncing off of the support and get out of the box when it encounters resistance, unless it is breaking out.In this book the author gives you a method where you get into and out of the stock sooner by trading the box within the box, thereby securing your profits and lessening your chances of encountering loses.The author doesn't stop there. He gives you a free link to an Excel program that he created for his readers that will automatically calculate for you what percentage you should invest and still remain safely with a lot of cash in your account.The author talks about defining your uncle point, the point you will get out of the trade, before you even get in.There is a lot of sound and safe trading advice that Warren Buffet would approve of.I can't wait until the author writes more trading books as this one was full of lots of useful information.Read this book!You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!-----------------A Happy Reader :)
Loved this book. Livingston has a unique way of entering stocks. He offers a simple and straight forward trading plan. The link to the excel he included helped me with my trading as well. I've read How To Make Money in Stocks by William O'Neil, Mark Minervini's book, and the Nicholas Darvas book. This is a great addition to the library of any trader who has enjoyed reading those books.
I'vd been trading for a living for the last 8 years. This little book has reflected most of what I've accomplished during these years. I hope you all can learn from this book and even make a living out of it like I can. The key part is the psychology to stick with your plan.
It's well-constructed, brings a clear understanding on concepts with a great guided approach.
Format is so bad for reading with Kindle Reader on my iPad Air. Can't comment on the content of the book because I can't stand having to turn a page, scroll up and down, then turn another page. Can't get it to adjust. I read a book or three every week with Kindle Reader app. This book's formatting is the reason for the one star.
This book was a lifetime changing experience for me. I am a beginner in the stock market and I wanted a good knowledgeable book, which can guide me to invest appropriately in the stock market.
